The camera installed in this church enables livestreaming of masses and ceremonies. This allows housebound people, people in hospitals and nursing homes, or those who live abroad to watch live masses, ceremonies and other celebrations or services. This enables ex-parishioners to stay connected with this parish community.
All services are recorded and can be accessed by clicking on the RECORDINGS tab below. If you are having disrupted downloads, you may try viewing directly from https://www.churchservices.tv/woking
Click on the Play button in the centre of the picture to see live streaming. Click on SCHEDULES to see what services are being streamed. Not all services are recorded: any that have, can be seen by clicking on the RECORDINGS tab.
The FEATURED VIDEOS tab lists some events not all of which have been recorded in the church. You may wish to download the video before playing if it doesn’t stream quickly.
In the current circumstances, and for as long as they last, the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days is removed (CCCC 2181). Knowing that the Mass is being celebrated; joining in spiritually in that celebration ; watching the live-streaming of the Mass; following its prayers at home; making an act of spiritual communion (see below): this is how we share in the Sacrifice of Christ in these days. These are the ways in which we will sanctify Sunday, and indeed every day.
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
St Alphonsus Maria de’Liguori
A recording of our virtual Carol Service Sunday 20th December at 7 pm is now available on the FEATURED VIDEOS tab rather than the RECORDINGS tab.
OPENING OF ST DUNSTAN’S CHURCH FOR MASS
From Monday 6th July St Dunstan’s will be open for those who wish to come to Mass. This will, in many ways, be a very different experience from before the Coronavirus Lockdown. While all that you are about to read may seem quite daunting and, possibly, off-putting please do remember, in the words of the Archbishops, that “none of this detracts from the centrality of our encounter with the Risen Christ in the Eucharist”. The Archbishops go on to say, “We ask everyone to respect and follow the guidance that (has been) issued and the instructions in each church”.
Practical Points
There are several points that we would like to emphasise before describing for you some of the changes in the actual celebration of Mass. In all of this we are following advice from the Diocese which in turn has come from the Archbishops of England and Wales.
Please see the Newsletter 4th/5th July for full details.
